Independent professionals driving Europe’s employment revolution

The number of independent professionals, commonly referred to as freelancers, in the EU-28 rose by a quarter (24%) from 7.7 million to 9.6 million between 2008 and 2015. This is according to new research published by our own EFIP member in the UK: IPSE, the Association of Independent Professionals and the Self Employed. The news comes as the UK celebrates its most enterprising individuals on National Freelancers Day on 9 June.
